ResetPing Terms of Service
Version: 1.0.2 · Effective date: 2026-10-02
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
ResetPing is operated by HUI LI, an individual based in the United States (“ResetPing,” “we,” or “us”). Contact us at support@reset-ping.com.
These Terms govern the ResetPing website at reset-ping.com, our coordination service, and the service features of our iOS and Mac apps. You must accept these Terms to create a ResetPing identity. Verifying your email authenticates you; it does not authorize every data use or optional feature. Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices and your choices.
For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement governs the app's software license where no applicable custom EULA replaces it. These ResetPing Terms govern our service relationship; they are not presented as a replacement custom App Store EULA. Apple's purchase and subscription terms also apply to Apple transactions. Mandatory law prevails; the applicable EULA controls software-license issues, and Apple's transaction terms control Apple's processing of purchases, without removing claims or rights you have against us.
For the Mac app distributed directly by us, we grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to install and use the app on Macs you own or control for permitted use of ResetPing. You may not redistribute or resell our proprietary app or service, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits. Included open-source components remain subject to their own licenses and notices. Apple's Standard EULA does not automatically apply to a directly downloaded Mac app.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law where you live to use ResetPing. If you are under 18 or have not reached the age of legal adulthood where you live, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian, who should review these Terms with you. You must also satisfy the legal requirements for entering this agreement, including any required parental or guardian authorization. Parental or guardian permission does not override an applicable minimum age or the eligibility requirements of a third-party service. The service is offered only where our distribution, the required third-party services and applicable law permit it; mainland China is outside our initial release scope. Availability in an app store does not override a third party's access restrictions.
You create or access a ResetPing identity using an email verification code. Keep access to your email and devices secure, provide accurate information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. ResetPing login is separate from your Apple account and from any ChatGPT/Codex connection.
Only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use. ResetPing supports compatible personal ChatGPT/Codex accounts; it does not promise support for every plan or organization workspace. Account slots are ResetPing connection slots, not additional OpenAI accounts, quota or permission to share third-party credentials.
3. How the service works
ResetPing displays available Codex quota information, coordinates manual and enabled automatic Ping requests, presents public reset announcements and can send iPhone notifications. Personal quota reads and Pings run on your Mac; ResetPing does not offer hosted cloud execution. Our Cloudflare coordination service still processes identity, device, quota-summary, task and subscription data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your Mac must be properly connected, have valid third-party authorization and be able to run the background executor with a working network connection. Sleep, shutdown, sign-out from macOS, stopped background services, expired credentials and provider outages can prevent or delay execution. Closing the menu window or quitting the menu app alone does not stop the background executor; use its background-service controls or sign out of ResetPing when that is your intention.
A Ping is an actual request to OpenAI through Codex using your authorized connection. It sends a short fixed instruction asking for an “OK” response without tools. It may consume your third-party usage allowance. A successful result means a normal model response was received; it does not certify that a quota window restarted, that extra quota was granted or that your other requests will succeed.
4. Automatic execution and announcements
Creating a connection does not itself enable automatic Ping. You choose to enable it for an eligible account and select the available strategies. Natural-window strategies use observed reset times for supported five-hour and seven-day windows. Before an automatic send, ResetPing rechecks the relevant quota and requires that window to be fully available. Missing or invalid information, an already-consumed allowance or failed checks can cause a Ping to be skipped.
We monitor public posts by Tibo at @thsottiaux on X and use an AI model to interpret reset signals. Our Privacy Policy identifies the providers and information involved. A post, forecast or model classification is not confirmation that your account has reset. The announcement strategy also checks your account's quota changes before permitting an automatic Ping. Redeemable or “banked” resets are not redeemed automatically.
Posts may be edited or removed, and classification can be wrong, incomplete or delayed. We may update an announcement when new evidence arrives. There is no guarantee that every reset will be detected or acted on, or that action will occur at an exact time. Quota summaries and cached screens may be stale; check the third-party service when making decisions that depend on current availability.
You can pause automatic Ping or turn off individual strategies. Pausing does not disable an otherwise available manual Ping. Revocation, pausing or deletion stops future authorized execution but cannot recall a request whose sending has already begun. An uncertain result is not automatically resent simply to obtain a definite result; check the existing event before deciding to issue a new manual request.
Notifications require the relevant app settings and Apple system permission. Delivery may be delayed, duplicated or unavailable, and a notification accepted by Apple cannot be recalled. Turning off notifications does not by itself stop automatic execution. Manual Ping results are shown in the app rather than sent as automatic-success notifications.
5. Free access and subscriptions
| Plan | Connection allowance | Included execution |
|---|---|---|
| Free | One usable connection | Manual quota refresh and manual Ping, plus public announcements; no automatic Ping |
| Single-account subscription | One usable connection | Manual features and enabled automatic strategies |
| Five-account subscription | Up to five usable connections | The same paid execution features, for up to five connections |
Free access is not a time-limited paid trial. Connecting an account, logging in or using Free does not authorize a charge. Paid access requires an explicit purchase.
Paid plans are monthly auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the iPhone app using Apple in-app purchase. The price, currency, taxes and renewal terms are displayed before purchase in the App Store confirmation. The five-account plan is charged for the whole plan, not by the number of connections you use. It does not include an OpenAI subscription or additional OpenAI quota.
Apple processes payment and renewal under the terms displayed at purchase. Your subscription renews unless you cancel through Apple before the applicable renewal deadline. You can use the app's subscription-management entry or Apple's subscription management. Deleting an app, signing out, removing a connection or deleting your ResetPing identity does not cancel Apple renewal.
When you cancel renewal, paid access generally continues to the end of the verified paid period; a refund, revocation or other Apple status change can alter that entitlement. Billing grace periods apply only when Apple reports them and our service verifies them. Plan changes take effect according to Apple's verified transaction and renewal status, not merely when you select a different plan in ResetPing.
After paid access expires, Free allows one retained connection for manual use. If you have more connections than the new allowance, the others do not have execution access. Their credentials are not automatically deleted solely because of expiry or downgrade. Free pauses paid automation; purchasing again does not silently re-enable it. Choose the retained connection where offered and review your strategies when upgrading.
Paid access is linked to a ResetPing identity following server verification of Apple transactions and can be used with that identity's iPhone and Mac. A purchase may take time to verify or synchronize. If Apple has confirmed payment but benefits are pending, avoid purchasing again; use restore purchases or contact support. Restore is subject to current Apple verification and valid ownership; signing in with the same email after deletion does not automatically restore the old identity or its history.
For an Apple purchase, you can request a refund from Apple. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law and Apple's process. This does not exclude statutory rights or any remedy you may have against us. Changes to subscription prices are handled with the notices and approvals required by Apple and applicable law.
6. Third parties and permitted use
ResetPing is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Apple, X or Tibo. Third-party names identify compatibility, providers and information sources, not sponsorship or approval. Your use of those services remains subject to their applicable terms, availability, account restrictions and policies.
Do not use ResetPing to bypass quota limits, regional restrictions, safety measures or access controls, interfere with services, access another person's account without permission, or violate law or third-party rights. A subscription buys ResetPing service features, not an exemption from OpenAI's rules. We also remain responsible for the obligations that apply to our own integration and service.
We may change or disable an integration when a provider changes its interface, permissions or rules, or when necessary for security or law. Where a material paid feature is affected, we will explain the change and available options as required by law; your mandatory consumer remedies remain available.
7. Disconnecting and deleting data
Signing out on iPhone removes local interactive access and initiates revocation of that installation's notifications; your Mac may continue executing enabled tasks. Offline sign-out cannot immediately revoke a server session or recall a queued push. Signing out on Mac stops normal execution and starts revocation and cleanup for that Mac's ResetPing-managed connections.
Removing a Codex connection stops new authorized work for that connection, releases its slot and schedules removal of its ResetPing-specific credentials. Disabling a Mac revokes that device and its associated connections. Neither operation deletes your OpenAI account or your normal, separately managed Codex login.
You can request deletion of your ResetPing identity through the app's account controls, with recent email verification. If you cannot access the app, contact support. Identity deletion disables the service identity, removes ordinary personal profile/history data and initiates cleanup, subject to the limited records and pending work explained in the Privacy Policy. It is not an instruction to Apple to cancel your subscription.
If a Mac is offline, unavailable or has its executor removed, we cannot confirm erasure of credentials on that device. A “pending” cleanup status is not proof of deletion. Restore access to the device and allow cleanup to finish where possible. If it is lost or compromised, use the third party's account-security options as well. Requests already sent cannot be withdrawn, and copies controlled by device backups or third parties are not erased by an app status change.
8. Service changes, restrictions and ending use
You may stop using the service, cancel renewal and request deletion independently. We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary for a material breach, abuse, security or legal obligations. Where feasible and appropriate, we will provide the reason and a way to contact support; urgent protection or legal restrictions may require action first. Ending access does not remove your data rights or mandatory payment remedies.
We may improve or change the service. For a material reduction of an ongoing paid service or discontinuation, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular number of successful Pings.
9. Responsibility and consumer rights
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot guarantee third-party quota decisions, continuous provider access, a particular reset outcome or delivery time. Protect your devices and do not rely on ResetPing as the only source for time-critical decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Mandatory consumer guarantees and rights to cancellation, repair, refund or other remedies remain available where applicable. Responsibility for a claim is otherwise determined by applicable law.
10. Changes, language and disputes
We will publish the version and effective date of these Terms, maintain prior versions and give appropriate notice of material changes. Where renewed acceptance is required, we will request it. A Terms update does not retroactively authorize a new optional data purpose or replace a separately required permission.
The English version is intended to prevail over the Chinese translation if they differ, except where mandatory local language or consumer-protection rules require otherwise. This choice does not restrict your ability to raise a concern in Chinese or English.
Contact support@reset-ping.com to seek resolution of a concern. Applicable law and legally competent courts determine disputes; these Terms do not force consumers to waive mandatory protections or bring claims only in the operator's home jurisdiction.
